Refund and Returns Policy

1. Overview & “Cooling-Off” Period

Our standard returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer you a full refund or exchange.

However, in accordance with the South African ECT Act, you are entitled to a 7-day “cooling-off” period. You may cancel your purchase for any reason within 7 days of receiving your goods for a full refund of the purchase price.

  • Condition: The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.

  • Return Shipping: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item to us (e.g., via Pudo).

2. Pudo Shipping & Collections

We use Pudo for deliveries. Please take note of the following:

  • 36-Hour Window: Once your package arrives at your chosen Pudo locker, you have 36 hours to collect it using your PIN.

  • Unclaimed Items: If a package is not collected and is returned to us by Pudo, you will be liable for the re-shipping fee.

  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

3. Non-Returnable Items

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:

  • Personalised/Custom Goods: Handmade items made to your specific specifications (e.g., custom names or colours) cannot be returned unless they are defective.

  • Hygiene & Sanitary Goods: For the safety of all our little customers, intimate items or health/personal care items cannot be returned.

  • Others: Gift cards and downloadable digital products.

4. Refunds & Processing (Yoco)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approval: Approved refunds are processed via Yoco back to your original payment method.

  • Timeline: Please allow 5–10 working days for the credit to appear in your account (this depends on Yoco and your bank’s processing times).

  • Late Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account, then contact your bank. If you’ve done this and still have no refund, please contact us at contact@shopbabycreations.co.za.

5. Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded for “change of mind.” While we do not offer “change of mind” refunds on sale items, your right to a refund or replacement still applies if a sale item is defective or damaged (as per the Consumer Protection Act).

6. Exchanges (Defective Goods)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged due to our error. If you need to exchange a faulty item for the same product, please email us at contact@shopbabycreations.co.za to arrange a return via Pudo.

7. How to Return

To return your product, please contact us first to arrange the delivery.

  • Address for Returns: Groot-Brak Rivier Pudo Locker or Contact us to arrange delivery.

  • Insurance: If you are returning expensive items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service (like Pudo’s tracking). We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
